Welcome to Thistle Corner ~ Fritz Farm LaManchas
How we came to be.....first came Fritz Farm in
2012 as a 4-H project for my son. Jacob had a handful of goats and I
was originally into Suffolk Sheep for projects and meat. The sheep
became too much for me to handle and I turned my attention to
helping Jacob with his herd.
Then someone suggested we attend an ADGA
show in 2017. Hot Coco Mix, a grade LaMancha,
won Grand Champion Recorded Grade, and.....I was hooked! Fast
forward to 2019 and my herdname, Thistle Corner, was born.
Located in lovely Southwest Michigan in
Lawrence, Van Buren County, we are easy driving distance to
Kalamazoo and beautiful Lake Michigan. We try to show at as many
shows as possible and are lucky to have a nice assortment in
Michigan as well as access to shows in Indiana and Ohio. 2021 was
our first National Show in Louisville, KY.
Many thanks to my husband. He's been here
for us through the thick and thin of things. Also a huge thank you
to my awesome friend, Sharon, for helping me stay focused at the
shows when things get crazy and to Tammy
 Tullar, for being my mentor
and my friend.
With both herds, we strive to produce
quality LaManchas, Grades and Saanens. We pull all of our kids at
birth, feeding them Land-O-Lakes powdered colostrum followed by
pasteurized goat milk. Our herd has been CAE tested negative for the
last 8 years.
In
order to keep our numbers in check, each year Jacob and I will offer
a selection of mature milkers, bucks and kids for sale. Please
